Stiftung Liebenau

The Liebenau Foundation which is based in Meckenbeuren-Liebenau has stood up since almost 140 years for people in need of assistance; in doing so, professionalism and Christian commitment come first. Together with the people of the city of Tettnang the chaplain Adolf Aich founded a home for incurables.Meanwhile, the former “Care and Healing Institute” has become a modern social, health and training organization with approximately 5500 collaborators, who assist, support, counsel, and accompany more than 15.000 people. It offers its approximately 200 services at almost 90 sites in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Bulgaria. One of the primary goals of the Liebenau Foundation is to demonstrate that in spite of personal constraints people can by all means participate in social life - no matter if they are constrained or disadvantaged by disability, sickness or for other reasons. The Liebenau Foundation provides its support through different offers exactly there, where social life happens, where people meet and design their present – which is in training and work, at home and in leisure time. Participation and self-determination are the central goals which the Liebenau Trust has pursued since its foundation.
